Work Based Learning at a Glance
The Walker Career Center's Work Based Learning program is a career resource available to CTE students that aligns jobs with career pathways. Typically, seniors recommended by teachers earn high school credit and a paid position at a local employer. These students work with Mrs. Criswell.
Partners
Work Based Learning students in the Automotive Service Technology program work part-time in the Don Hinds service department, gaining additional experience and industry relationships.
Work Based Learning students in the Finance department gain workplace experience in the daily operations of a bank, while also learning the roles of the banking industry in local, national, and global economies.
Work Based Learning students in the Auto Collision program gain hands-on work experience in an auto body/collision department.
