Early Childhood Educators specialize in developmental, social and physical needs of young children. These students learn teamwork and time management, building family and community relationships, using developmentally appropriate approaches, observation and documenting methods, promoting child development and learning, and using content knowledge to build meaningful curriculum.

Principles of Early Childhood Education
This course examines basic principles of child development, importance of family, licensing, and elements of quality care of young children with an emphasis on the learning environment related to health, safety, and nutrition.
Early Childhood Education Curriculum
Early Childhood Education Curriculum examines developmentally appropriate environments and activities in various childcare set- tings while exploring the varying developmental levels and cultural backgrounds of children.
Early Childhood Education Guidance
This course allows students to analyze developmentally appropriate guidance, theory and implementation for various early care and education settings.

Early Childhood Education Capstone
The Early Childhood Education Careers Capstone is a senior only class that will place qualified students who have completed the Ear- ly Childhood Education Careers pathway into a Work Based internship at the Warren Early Childhood Center. This course will focus on getting students to complete their CDA certification. This class requires an instructor recommendation.
